More World Series of Poker Online Bracelets Awarded at GG Poker

The World Series of Poker Online began over a week ago at GG Poker and 8 of the 33 bracelet events have now found their rightful owners.

All-time money leader Bryn Kenney was one of the victors in the opening week of the series, securing his second WSOP bracelet, but his first online version.

He took down event 3, the $2,100 Bounty NLH Championship, topping a field of 798 runners to secure the $94k first prize and also bagged a further $131k in bounties.

The series is a long one, continuing until 30th September, but the bracelet events are well spread out, with just 4 or 5 running every week, including phase events with multiple starting days.

Recent WSOP Online Bracelet Winners

Five further bracelets have been awarded since this time last week, however most of the participants are using GGPoker usernames rather than real names.

Event #4 $840 Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha

With 881 entries, event 4 had a prize pool of $704,800 and GGPoker Ambassador Tony ‘Ren’ Lin very nearly took down the title, but was pipped to the post by a player with the name ‘Uncapped,’ who scooped the first prize of $44,979 plus a further $64,582 in bounties.

The player with the name ‘Uncapped’ has been revealed on Twitter to be Indian player Tarun Goyal and he is having a great series, securing ninth place in Event 6 for a further $32,000 just a few days after his win.

Event #5 $500 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship

The $500 Ladies event attracted 166 entries and was won by ‘RoThorley_’ for $16.512

Event#6 $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold’em

As already mentioned, Tarun Goyal went close to winning two bracelets this series with a 9th place finish in event , which had 1,437 entries and generated a prize pool of over $2m.

It was won by player ‘TiananmenSquare’ who stood up to and defeated the poker tanks in his way, to collect the $263,719 first prize and a bracelet fit for a true poker hero.

Event#7 $215 Mystery Millions

The $215 Mystery Millions was one of the phase events of the series and had a $10m guarantee, which required 50,000 entries to avoid an overlay.

With 52,452 entries across all its starting days the final prize pool was $10,375,005 and it was won by Vlad Darie for $613,575, however only $10,143 of this came from bounties, as he did not manage to pull any of the big prizes.

Vlad Darie is a successful live and online pro from Romania and uses his real name as his screen name on GG Poker. Although this was his first WSOP bracelet victory, he has over $2.7m in live cashes.

Event#8 $2,500 Turbo NLH Championship

Event 8 had 623 players, generating a prize pool close to $1.5m. It was won by the player with the screen name AmassTeRok for $2129,233.

The Race For Bracelets

As part of the WSOP Online, operator GGPoker is splashing an extra $4m into the pot via a series of freerolls for players.

Every country has been divided into four ‘continents’ (which don’t always match their geographical continents) and for every bracelet event there is a flip out feeroll for players from the same ‘continent’ as the eventual winner.

Any player who has participated in the event or its satellites is eligible to play in each freeroll if they come from the same ‘continent’ as the winner.

There are also country freerolls at the end of the series for the players from the top ten best performing countries.

So far United States national are leading the way, with two bracelet victories, however Russia is not far behind with one victory and three third place finishes.
