The much-awaited World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Playground is in motion. The series started on March 24 and will conclude on April 8. 

Poker players were in for a treat as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit made its return to Playground, Canada. 

The 20th edition of the series, runs from March 24 to April 8, promises 18 championship rings and over C$3.3 million in guaranteed prize pools. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for players at this series.

Line-Up of Events

The action kicked off with the C$300 Colossus event, featuring 11 flights spread from Monday through Saturday. 

Players had multiple chances to make Day 2 on Sunday, March 30, where the remaining competitors will battle for a share of the lucrative prize pool. 

Based on the event's history, expectations were set high for another record-breaking turnout.
The previous edition of the WSOP Circuit at Playground saw an impressive 3,538 entries for the Colossus event. 

Similarly, the Main Event drew 1,660 participants, culminating in Dustin Melanson's victory. He secured a remarkable C$339,770 after striking a heads-up deal with Sergei Gurin. 

With a C$1.5 million guarantee for this year’s Main Event, another massive field is anticipated.

Main Event Details

The C$1,700 Main Event is the crown jewel of the series, with three starting flights scheduled from April 3 to April 5, all beginning at 11 AM ET. 

Survivors will return for Day 2 on Sunday, April 6, with hopes of making it to the final table on Monday, April 7. Players will be competing not only for the rewarding prize pool but also the coveted WSOP Circuit ring.

Additional Tournaments and Features

In addition to the Colossus and Main Event, the schedule includes several other highlights. On March 30, the C$400 Monster Stack offered two starting flights. 

On March 31, senior players had a chance to grind in the C$400 Seniors Event, a popular tournament that attracts a competitive yet friendly crowd.

For those seeking a different challenge, the series introduces a C$400 Mystery Bounty and a C$250 Flip N Go. Furthermore, a C$300 Ladies Event will take place on Friday, April 4, providing a solid platform for women players.

The high-stakes action continues with a C$3,300 Mega Stack High Roller on Sunday, April 6. Milestone Satellites will run on Friday and Saturday, offering players an affordable chance to qualify for the high roller event.

Series Finale

The excitement concludes on Tuesday, April 8, with two final tournaments: a C$1,000 Progressive Knockout and another C$400 Mystery Bounty. 

These events offer a last opportunity to capture a WSOP Circuit ring and leave their mark on the series.
